Join us TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY, April 15th at 12 pm for the next webcast in our Paycheck Protection Webinar Series, "Who's Left Out of the Paycheck Protection Program?" featuring Program updates from U.S. Representative Nydia Velázquez (D-NY), Chairwoman of the House Small Business Committee, and a Q&A section with Renee Bender, Senior Professional Staff with the Senate Small Business & Entrepreneurship Committee under Chairman Marco Rubio; and Melissa Jung, Chief of Staff for Chairwoman Velázquez.
This week marks the beginning of the second full week of the Paycheck Protection Program rollout. In the first week alone, over 710,000 loans worth a combined $179.2 billion were approved. While we are pleased with the strong bipartisan support for PPP renewal, we’ve heard concerns from you, our members and partners, that some banks are prioritizing big fish applicants and that funds may get snapped up before small fry applicants can see a dime.
